Guidance for new Indiana Medicaid Cost Reports

According to recent guidance from the Office of Medicaid Policy and Planning (OMPP), for this year only, both the old and new forms will be accepted.    Please take note of OMPP’s guidance statement below: 

“The new cost report  forms should be utilized for any information not yet submitted.  However, for this year only, information submitted for annual Rate Effective Date July 1, 2018, either form will be acceptable as a valid submission regarding the filing deadline.  If the older form is utilized, please utilize the new certification statement and specifically identify in either a cover letter or supplemental schedule the amount of any nurse consultant expenses and where they are reported on Schedule E.  Failure to utilize the new certification statement or disclose where these expenses are reported will result in an inquiry.”
