Join us in celebrating Careers in Aging Week, March 3-9

It doesn’t come as a surprise to our members that the demand for professionals with expertise in aging is growing rapidly. With that in mind, AHCA/NCAL and its state affiliates, in partnership with the Gerontological Society of America (GSA), Argentum and LeadingAge, are celebrating Careers In Aging Week March 3-9.

Careers in Aging Week (CIAW) is observed during the first full week of March by businesses, clinics, coalitions, organizations, universities, colleges, and other parties across the world. The goal of CIAW is to bring greater awareness and visibility to the wide-ranging career opportunities in the field of aging.

There are a number of ways Indiana facilities and associate members can promote Careers in Aging Week.

1. Help IHCA/INCAL promote our own Carefortheaging.org career pathways website, aimed at helping individuals explore meaningful career opportunities in long term care and assisted living. Site visitors from throughout the state can complete interest forms that IHCA/INCAL shares with members to help facilities fill open positions.

2. Encourage current employees and students to apply for a long term care scholarship through the Indiana Health Care Foundation
